The School provides central infrastructure relating to student matters, including general administration, student representation, university interface, recruitment etc.
MDC-NYU Exchange Program
The MDC-NYU Exchange Program is a joint endeavor between the Berlin Insitute for Medical Systems Biology (MDC) and the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (NYU) and provides doctoral training with up to four year funded positions and travel allowance. Training is based on our major spectrum of medical systems biology research and technologies. PhD students carry out joint research projects of partner labs in New York and Berlin.
International Helmholtz Research School TransCard
The International Helmholtz Research School "Translational Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine" (TransCard) trains doctoral students in basic and clinical research targeting the molecular basis of cardiovascular and metabolic disease with the goal to translate mechanistic insights into improved patient care. The curriculum includes a lecture and seminar series with corresponding E-learning, local and international workshops, and a clinical visits program.
German-Israeli Helmholtz Research School SignGene
The German-Israeli Helmholtz Research School "Frontiers in Cell Signaling and Gene Regulation" (SignGene) builds on an exceptional network of scientists within the areas of cell signaling, gene regulation, and quantitative biology. The program features joint training activities with our partners at the Technion in Haifa and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, dual mentorship, and exchange with a partner laboratory abroad.
International Research School MolNeuro
The aim of the International Helmholtz Research School "Molecular Neurobiology" (MolNeuro) is to provide state-of-the-art training for young neuroscientists with the goal to elucidate the molecular basis of neurobiological processes. The MolNeuro curriculum consists of a lecture series covering basic and advanced concepts of neurobiology, a journal club, and complementary tranining courses.
